Routine investigations:

• Escherichia coli

• Coliformes

• Total bacteria count (20°C, 36°C)

• Suspicion of faecal pollution:

• Faecal streptococci

• Clostridia

• Camphylobakter spp.

• Yersinia spp.

• Salmonella

• Aeromonas

• perhaps parasite

(Cryptosporidia specc., Giardia specc.)
